Hey everyone!! I’m back with a simple, cute Dollar Tree craft!! What can I say…I LOVE THE DOLLAR TREE!! Haha. If you’re like me, you like easy & cheap projects that turn out adorable! Well, you’re in the right place. 😉
My Fall decor colors this year are white, wood tones & a pretty moss green! I grabbed a couple of Dollar Tree’s mini burlap pumpkins. I wanted some little moss green pumpkins & the brown was just boring to me. So, I just ended up giving them a little makeover!
Here’s what I used for this craft:
- Mini burlap pumpkin from Dollar Tree
- Cotton Bud (had on hand)
- Raffia (Dollar Tree)
- Jute string (Dollar Tree)
- Fall Flower pick (Dollar Tree)
- Waverly chalk paint in the color Moss
- Sponge brush
- Hot Glue
Don’t get me wrong…I love some burlap! But this pumpkin needed some cuteness. 😊 This is what it looked like before.

First, I used my sponge brush and painted it with my Moss Waverly paint (I love these paints, and this color!). I used a dabbing technique when painting to get into all the holes and crevices. You guys, you can pretty much transform anything with a little paint! Doesn’t the green look great?!

Next, I got my raffia, cotton bud, jute string & mum flower together so I could start applying to the top of the pumpkin.

First, I gathered a few pieces of raffia and tied a piece around the middle in order to secure the pieces together. I trimmed the ends to create some messy fraying.

Then I hot glued it to the stem of the pumpkin.

Then, I tied a piece of jute string into a little bow. Trimmed the ends and hot glued it on top of the raffia.

Next, I hot glued on my flower & cotton bud behind the stem. I think it looked so cute!

And that’s all folks! How easy was that? And now you have an adorable, fancy little pumpkin! I sat mine on top of an old rusty spring. I love to bring in old junk & make it pretty decor!

I just love how a little paint & embellishments totally changed the look of this mini Dollar Tree pumpkin. There’s so many ideas & pretty colors you could do!

There’s another shot with one of my white pumpkins next to it…yup it’s from Dollar Tree too (just painted it white 😉)!
Tell me what you guys think in the comments & maybe what you would do different! Until next time…
Jana 🙂
